The Grand Forks Weather Buffer was at work once again Wednesday. Areas west of Grand Forks received over a foot of snow while Grand Forks didn’t receive any snowfall, possibly not even a flake. Check out the graphic below from the National Weather Service. There’s a very impressive snowfall gradient across the region.
I was watching the radar all day and there were so many times when the snow looked to be building into Grand Forks County only to be chased away by the buffer. I will try to supply a radar loop soon.
