The Grand Forks Weather Buffer as Explained by The Lord of the Rings

The Grand Forks weather buffer is in full force tonight.  Check out the video below of the radar loop from around 5-8 pm today (12-30-2010).  Snow looks to be over Grand Forks but is then pushed back by some force.

Grand Forks is the pivot point, this is disgusting. (Click to Loop)

The explanation? Let us use The Lord of The Rings to explain, specifically The Two Towers.

"Look to the east for Gandalf Snow on the 5th Day"

Right now evil is winning in the Red River Valley Helms Deep, and as long as the Orcs are surrounding Grand Forks The Hornburg, we stand no chance of snow.  I don’t think I can wait much longer, hurry up Gandalf.

Thats interesting Ben. What about the Ents, where do they fit into this picture? Will they come from the forests of northern MN and devour the orcs? Do you need to wait for the third day at sunrise for Gandalf? Have no fear, we get about 47 extra seconds of daylight today!
