This picture was taken near Carrington, North Dakota on July 16th, 2011 (chase photos here). A tornado had previously touched down with this supercell and it was cycling for another round. I was getting into position for round two but had to stop and let this herd of pain pass first. This picture makes me miss chasing. It’s not all about the storms, it’s also being out on the beautiful North Dakota prairie in the summertime.
